Christmas Eve

Simon shows off his new stocking from Aunt Neesie.

All smiles before mass. After mass it was more of a tired face.

The one present Simon did not get for Christmas was a haircut.

Pre-Christmas: Trail of Lights

Finally uploaded all our pictures from this past week. I'll try to space the posts out over a couple of days so there's not 25 pictures posted in one day.

On the 23rd, we went to the Trail of Lights with Mark and Lindsey and Simon's buddy Henry.

Here they are in front of the Zilker tree.

I actually had never been to the Trail, just to the tree. So I got all excited after seeing the entrance...

But after the Fire Department's sponsored tree, it kinda went downhill.

Getting caught up...

Old pictures and new pictures forthcoming.

The high today might be 78, but a few weeks ago we got snow. I even woke Erinn up for it.

Jibber Jabber

Simon's started talking this week.... and he hasn't stopped. He's even doing this in his sleep. It's funny at 5pm, not so much at 5am.

Thanksgiving.

Simon had his first Thanksgiving and got to meet some new faces. This was also Erinn and my first Thanksgiving in Austin in over four years.

Simon got to meet Uncle Jim.
And Aunt Jennifer's dog, Carlie.

And we got to spend the evening tailgating for the A&M game.

We found out Simon likes dirty hats.

Simon's first basketball game

Simon got his first taste of Texas Basketball the other day. We only stayed for a half so we did not have enough time to make a popcorn bucket helmet for him.

Loyal Forever

Our ten year reunion was this weekend. Simon attended the Friday event (a tailgate before the Austin High-Westlake football game). He appropriately went as Mr. Maroo, our high school mascot, since it fell on Halloween. Perhaps next year he will have more of a say in his costume.

Happy Halloween

As we found out the other day, Simon wasn't a huge fan of going to pumpkin patches and taking pictures.

Officially fall?

Time to break out the winter hats. Even better if they match a toy.

Hungry, Hungry Simons

From milk to solids, Simon's moving on up the food chain. We started him on rice cereal last week. Next week, we'll give him some Elgin sausage. But only a little.

He gets that from me.

Big eyes, bigger appetite.

Trip to Dallas for OU game

The weather around here has been downright LA-esque, while I've noticed the weather out in South Pas has been almost Austin-like.

We made our annual pilgrimage to the State Fairgrounds last weekend for the OU game. Awesome weather, awesome crowd, awesome fried foods and awesome result for the game.

Mom at dinner on Friday night. Simon had had a long day in the car and was pretty ready to crash.

Callie's turn to get baptised

Sort of... Last week was the Feast of St. Francis, the patron saint of animals. So there was a blessing of animals at St. Austin's - so we went.

Simon's obviously ready for the sun... or a raquetball game.
Callie getting blessed.
Even Yorkie's owned by peta fans got blessed.

Gameday

Just because it's an away game doesn't mean we won't get geared up.
