This past weekend was one of those "I shouldn't be doing this because I'm on the job hunt, but I can't pass up the opportunity" for me. This is that last year that the Yankees are playing in Yankee Stadium so Dad and I took a trip up to New York to see a game before it gets torn down. It was a whirlwind trip. Up Friday, back on Sunday.
Friday started with JetBlue canceling our flight. Not just delaying it. Canceling it. American was happy to take us up there with our miles. We fly into Chicago and get delayed. A lot. We eventually land at Laguardia at 1:30 a.m.

Took the train to the Bronx and stopped by Stans.
Got there at the end of Kansas City's batting practice. Fantastic seats.
I'm not a huge Yankees fan, so it was good to see A-Rod strike out with the bases loaded and no outs.
The Field Crew does the YMCA as they groom.
New Yankee Stadium is just across the street from Left Field. It actually looks really good, but that doesn't mean they should've built a new one. They should have just remodeled the old one.
Despite delays due to weather and delays due to faulty aircraft parts it was a great trip. Thanks Dad.
