Jak Se Mas!

Andrew decided to try to make some kolaches today. Also today while grilling dinner, Callie dug a hole. Note the dirt all over her mouth and the ground. We were pretty tired, so we indulged her a bit.

Thrifty Week

This week we tried to save a few/make a few extra dollars. Andrew fixed his oil pan on his own. In the photo you can see the kitty litter on the ground where he had to absorb all the oil that had leaked. On Saturday morning, Erinn tried to sell off some of her children's books. It was not very successful. Apparently, people want "stuff," not books. Even still, we are $50 richer and 100 books lighter.

School's Out!

This weekend we went with some friends to see Rebel Without a Cause at the Hollywood Forever Cemetary. They show a movie each Saturday during the summer. Andrew made tri-tip sandwiches for our picnic dinner. Erinn also completed her first summer craft (a gift for her principal's new grandaughter). The last picture is Callie enjoying the Sunday morning view from the kitchen. Sorry that Callie always seems to make her way into the posts.

Uneventful Weekend

It was a slow weekend...the first picture is of Callie's toy basket with her "monkey baby" hanging out. Next is Callie with a mohawk (I guess it's time for a grooming). The last three are of our backyard in bloom.

New Chair and Sushi

The first is Callie in our "new" chair. I fell in love with it at a garage sale on the street behind us. Next is sushi at a restaurant in Little Tokyo called R23. R23 is pretty hidden (see the abandoned building across the alley from the restaurant). Finally, is Callie with her new "baby" (another garage sale purchase).

Memorial Day Weekend Part 2

The above pictures are from our friend's birthday. We took the Metro downtown to Union Station, ate dinner at Philippes, enjoyed a churro on Olvera Street, and continued on to karaoke at Orchid.

Memorial Day Weekend Part 1

Here are some pictures from a party on Saturday. The party was a "Welcome Home" party for a friend who served in South Korea. The first is a picture of the inflatable obstacle course. The second is Andrew sampling some hard-to-get North Korean liquor (it tasted like whisky). The last picture is of Erinn home after the party (notice the "battle wounds" on her knees from the obstacle course).
